2007 avensis est 2.2 d-cat.

Hi i recently changed engine of which i uncoupled the steering rack. On completion everythings fine apart from this speed angle sensor fault. Is there a quick fix for this or have i got to remove the steering wheel?

Any advise appreciated

Try jumping pins 4 and 12 on the OBD socket as shown on the following video.

This might work on the Avensis too!

This technique was also used recently to set the zero point for the clutch switch for car with EPB -

Seems to be one fix for all.

Google "Toyota zero point calibration" and  click tp images to show the OBD socket and the pins to be jumped.

Sorry John,

What I meant to say, is when you do the search on Toyota zero point calibration, I said to change the result to image. This will show pictures of the OBD socket and the actual pins to insert the jumper wire. Pins 4 and 12.

Hopefully your car is back to normal.
