What Films Are You Into?

Hi everyone. I would just like to know what type of films that you are into. As for myself i really like watching the movies. I have spent nearly £2,000 on a home cinema surround kit. I really like watching the movies loud. I regularly rent out DVDS from my local blockbusters.

What DVDs do you all like. My favorite is the The fast and the furious followed by Blade and Blade 2 Having a home cinema surround kit is the bomb as you really can get into the movies more.

Not only is it good for movies. You can hook it all up to your satellite tv and video also if you have a games console as well. So everything is amplified :D

This summer we are about to get the new hulk movie. Now it has already had a good slating all ready as the hulk is animated. Not too everyones taste?

Anyway I'm signing off for now as I'm about to watch xxx.

That triple xxx if you all didn't know featuring VIN DIESEL

I know what you mean about a home surround system... Currently using Phillips 950 and Sherwood amp both supporting DTS with Eltax Speakers, sounds great...

As for which type of movie....

Have to say all sorts, watch so many I couldn't put a name on one, although not my favourite do like 102 Dalmatians purely as 4 of my dogs brothers are in it ( I know how sad !)

Like all sorts of aciton movies F&TF, Blade 1 (thought Blade II was crap), comedies, thought The simplest Thing, Ali G, to movies like Good Night Mr Tom which was awesome with Thaw from Inspector Morse....

There's loads of films I like, too many to list, but my favourite actors are Harrison Ford and Clint Eastwood (although both have been in some duff films). I used to be quite into japanimation too.

Getaway in Stockholm 2 is my favourite car film, a 450bhp Toyota Supra and a 450bhp Escort Cosworth racing flat out round Stockholm. :D

I won’t say which car wins in case someone hasn’t seen it; you can download it off Kazaa lite. ;)

Triple xxx was off the hook. There was some wicked stunts in this film. I would recommend this film to anyone who wants to see something different from your usual bond movie.

Vin diesel done a good job with acting as the action hero. So go out and rent this movie ;)

Pulp Fiction rocks....

Also like Instinct with Anthony Hopkins, great movie that tends to be a bit unheard of...

The Italian Job was superb (Michael Cane thingy on TV last night, and not a lot of people know that :D)...

He gave away the plot of what happened after the last scene and what is going to happen in The Italian Job 2 if it's ever going to be made...

that programme was good but Italian Job 2 sounded like a bad idea no wonder it never got made!

Could have been a good giggle I thought, chasing the french mafia around the alps.....

Sounds like a general excuse for a good old fashion hoon around the hills to me (checks diary for next Brecons weekend :D)...

They turn the engine on the coach, wait for the petrol to run out to change the equilibrium of the coach, they all jump out the gold goes over the edge, the french mafia are waiting the bottom, collectthe gold and they chase through the french riviera trying to get it back.....

I like American road movies - Vanishing point is fantastic and so is the original 1972 version of 'Gone in Sixty Seconds' - No English gangsters threatening to kill your brother etc, etc, just a good honest, massive insurance scam!

Yeah, Italian Job is cool. Some films should never have a sequel and this is one. There is really no need. It leaves you content that they pulled the job off but then it leaves you wondering. Perfect. Then when are sequels ever as good as the original anyhow??? (Before anyone quotes Godfather 2, I haven't seen any of them yet).

Speaking of Michael Caine, check out Austin Powers 3 - Goldmember. Cracks me up everytime I watch it. Completely daft and MC is perfect as Austin's farjer. (Dutch speak for the benefit of those who haven't seen it yet).

"Easy peesy lemon sqeezy. Do you know who I am. Have you any idea how many anonimous henchmen I've killed over the years. And you haven't even got a name Badge. You've got no chance son. Go on do yourself a favour, fall down".

MC's spy car in the film is a Mini and as he points out to the Jag driving Austin, "It's not the size, it's what you do with it".

Easy Rider is a classic and Snatch, yes definitely. Pulp Fiction - genius, for sure.

Shawshank Redemption - check it out.

Just bought the revamped DVD of Apocalypse Now having never seen it and while it is not completely worthy of the mega-hype afforded it there is no denying it is a war classic.

Love my comedies, can't live without the action. I grew up after watching Burt Reynolds in Hooper wanting to be a stuntman. I settled on being a pro photographer instead though.

Too many films are being made these days with big name actors but they tend to overlook the plot or overdo the SFX. What's all this c*** where they run through the air before they kick someone. Give me a break I will turn these off now.

Think I'll watch a movieee...........

I rarely watch films! My missus always has soaps or talk shows on. When we do get round to watching a film she only likes Mill & Boon type!

Can't be doing with that, so I tend to get 6 cans out the fridge & drink myself to sleep.

Did quite enjoy " Saving Private Ryan " though.

Another good film would have to be GOODFELLAS Starring Robert De Niro, Ray Liotta Joe Pesci. Now thats a film to watch. Now just imagine if you have got a problem with your car. And toyota are messing you around. You would just send Joe pesci around and he would just CAP EVERYONES *****

Problem solved :D

Another great film would have to be CASINO Once again you have got Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci and Sharon stone. This film has got to be the best for watching the gangsters in action. These guys you wouldn't want to mess with these guys. They would truly F**K YOU UP!!!. This is one film you have got to watch if you want to get even with someone.

Just looking in my local paper and Lord of the rings 2 the twin towers is still showing. They say that it has being showing at are local multi screen cinema for 3 months now. That has got to be a record. Normally most films are there for only 2-3 weeks max.

Ive still yet to see it. I will probably wait till when it come out on DVD. Perhaps i will order it on play.com. Would have to get it in region 1.

Twin Towers - Fantastic. One of the greatest movies of all time. Go see it. But when buying on DVD you know they will bring out a second edition of the film a few months later with the directors cut footage back in.

Why buy on region 1?
