How economical is it ? I know what the book says and I dont own 1 but need to know from someone who's got one. How big is the tank? and how much does it cost to fill up? Can you run it economically or does it always drink ?

Dont plan on saving much money on fuel. I`m getting an average of 24.5 out of my `90 ST185. Although it is playing up a bit.

Last month on motorway run 80-90 mph it was doing about 30mpg.

Get one anyway. Immense fun. You cant have pleasure without paying for it.

dak

It's pretty difficult to drive one conservatively, and you will always use a fair bit of fuel cos they are heavy, and 4WD drivetrain losses are high.

In addition you should be changing the oil every 3-4000 miles using fully synthetic oil and a genuine Toyota or TRD filter, so that is extra expense over a non-turbo car.

i use spritmonitor.de for fuelings. to get the data you MUST fill the tank fully when you want to read the consumption.

here is my car:

expect between 250-400 miles from a brimmed tank dependant on how it is driven and also motorway or urban cycle
