Hmm.... All Stuck >> the glue comes out like vaseline = stick a blob onto a toothpick and smear liberally in sticky zone...

However = no runs & neat control 😬

Its currently on a 'low bake' (grand sunny day) and I will post a piccie later....

Since the 'New/Warranty' front downpipe/flexi has been fitted I've been getting a distinct 'Klonkk' from the rear...

I put a lot of effort into eliminating the klonkks when I fitted the T4 back box... The new front section has obviously put a twist into the whole back pipe length >> hence fresh klonkk 😞

..... I wizzed her up on the ramps thismorning and a bit of 13MM action (... with added WD40!) has got just that bit of wiggle room needed = all is serenity, once more.

Top effort, and nothing more annoying than a knock 😄

Often, when we're out, the anklebiter wants to charge her iPhone and if I'm using my phone for SatNav then the single charger insert isn't enough....

This seems just the job AND a half decent Voltmeter thrown in.

Less than £3 🙂

My old Halfraud 'ciggy socket' inflator has given up the ghost...

This is winging its way from the Land of Paper Lanterns >>>

DoubleChargerVolts

..... It has a nice blue glow and (engine running, here) gives a good show of the Charging Rate 👍

It modernizes the car completely 😄

Nah...... I would need to 'air chisel' the face off the dash centre and 'glass-in' an ipod (a la hybrid 😕 )

Yes.... As an 'analogue guy in a digital world' I'm enjoying the flashy red LEDs. Ha Ha 😉

  • 2 weeks later...

My centre exhaust pipe section has finally given up the ghost...

I have sourced a pipe from eBay... after a false start = "stock misallocation" <we list them but don't ACTUALLY have one> ... should be here Wed 28th. £25 delivered and glad I found one!

My local ATS is going to fit the pipe >> they were unable to source it through their central depot >> so hopefully not too spendy for labour.

Attempting to 'pop' the bonnet, yesterday, all I got was a groan and not opening...

I had the Granddaughter sit lightly on the bonnet lip whilst I yanked the lever.... Still nothing 🤔

Thismorning I set myself up to remove the drivers trim panel (which holds the lever) for 'Industrial Strength Molegrip' action on the cable...... I gave it One More Yankk  >> Boinggg! Open 😬

I have lathered up the mech with Poondland 'fizzy' spraygrease and cycled the opening/shuts about half a dozen times.

I only drop the bonnet 6" to lock as I found it bad to open when I first got the car, after an enthusiastic 'affermative' closure (not knowing what was needed!!).....

Happy Now

.... Would you adam & eve it!

My centre pipe fitted a breeze 👍

My front downpipe/manifold flange is roaring like a microlite... 🙁

When the fitter refitted the front section (third time lucky!) he commented that "these fine thread Toyota studs are sods for stripping!"... So then = he didn't crank them hard up, ergo, Leaking!!

The manager has agreed to source a set of fresh studs for me, gas burn/tease out old ones and fully refit the front with fresh gaskets...

Great bunch of guys " Shout Out for ATS Wallsend!" 🗣️

Well.... My studs arrived yesterday and ATS will try for a 'slot' *today.

Given the possibility any/all of the old studs snapping, and drilling being the Last Resort, planning a 'lift slot' might be a sticky one!

Will report back...

*update - 2pm Sat 👍
