today i decided to take the Auris for a tracking check / adjustment and boy it needed doing

3 of the 4 wheels where out of specification,i took the car to kwikfit as the branch by me has the

hunter hawkeye system which is as good as dealership equipment and for £109 i now can have the

tracking checked & adjusted 8 times in the next 2 years without any extra charges.the top shows the before and the lower show the after.auris tracking.jpg

+1 for the Hunter check. :biggrin: Although I can't imagine why most people would want to have their cars checked eight times? Once was all it took for my local specialist to sort out my VW Passat estate. (Irregular rear tyre wear with scuffing around the inner shoulders - the Passat wagons are known for that.) It cost me £80, which is about right around these parts.

But anyway, I just couldn't believe how much better the Passat drove after the Hunter adjustment. It was so much more positive going around the corners - which is one place where the Auris is a bit, ummm, unrewarding. Mine's only done 36K, so probably not needed yet, but I'd splash the £80 any time. Proper job.

it cost me £109 for the tracking that includes check & adjust up to 8 times in 2 years

even if we only had the geometry checked & adjusted twice in the 2 year period it will

of still saved me money and with the roads the way they are these days having it checked

regulary isn't a bad thing.
