Interior light

I noticed last night that when I got in to the Rav it was quite dark, the front interior light didn't come on but the one at the rear did and works off both front door switches, the map reading light works when pressed so my question is , should there be a light that comes on at the front or just back light ? Not noticed before . You can select the rear one off, on or door but nothing on the front just not sure if it did work or never did any help appreciated please.

Having looked at the handbook it looks as though only the rear light comes on when door opens, never noticed this before !!! learn something every day .

Yes , it is normal but crazy imho. There was a mod published some years ago to fix this. I thought mine had a fault until I mentioned it to the dealer.

Yes like you say seems crazy, never noticed before until the other night and thought it was a bit dark, had the car for last four years as well ! Lol.
