Just tinted the rear lights on the seo. I saw a pic on here a while ago and they looked sweet so I gave it a go. Piece of P**S to do.

Has any 1 else sprayed the read lights? I know its not street legal so should i expect the Fuz to keep pulling me over?

Knightrider from the Yaris lot has done his all black, just using standard paint.

Don't know if he's been pulled for it though.

What Sort of paint do you use? Id love to do mine. Was thinking about spraying them silver, same colour as my seo, would it be possible to use normal spray paint? Will probly get pulled everyday lol, Is it legal to have the rear lights any colour as long as the lights shine through?

i did mine black on my clio and they turned out really black but never got pulled on them.

I tinted my rear lights by using a thin coat of Halfords gloss black spray paint. To be on the safe side if any1 is gonna do this, make sure u tape over the reflectors on the light clusters. As long as the reflectors arent sprayed, the babylon wont do ya.

wat if you fit sticky reflectors? at least i have tryed.

I used red tint spray which is the correct type of paint to use.

If you apply two thin coats to the whole unit, the lights will work as normal

but any more and you will have red indicators and reverse lights!

Its about £12 per can and one is plenty.

I bought it from a local car spares place.

cheers for th image hosting advice.

2 coats of the savage red spray from motor world, a can costs £10.00.

My only real advice would be to remove the lights 1st, tape over reflectors, and spay about 30cm from the lights. As i did 1 and held the can 2 far away and i got a mat finish  . so went over it again. Sorted.
