Oh Joy!...failed My Test Again

when I was having lessons, my instructor told me to make my mirror checking very obvious - turn your head nearly 90 degrees to check your mirror, and leave it there for a lil bit - make it very obvious that you are checking the mirrors.

Sure - you have your mirrors setup correctly, you flick your eyes right, and can see fine - but the tester may not pick that up - so on the test exagerrate the movements, make it very clear you are looking in the mirrors.

mine did exactly the same thing, and partially for the reason u failed. he said dont even give them ANY excuse to mark u at fault. So even if it is impractical and unsafe stare a bit and make it obvious!

other than that better luck next time fella. In the meantime keep the girl outside clean, and happy

gutted for you mate.

I am so glad that i took my test in 1989, i think the examiners were a little more relaxed then, and we didnt have to take a theory test.

I would probably crap myself if i had to take a test today.

as others have said mate, make it blatently obvious that youre looking at mirrors and make sure the examiner knows youre looking before you set off, really stare at each mirror for 2-3 seconds. If you think you look like an idiot doing it then you know youre doing it right lol

they've just started asking car maintainence questions before you get in the car as well. they're easy, if you know the slightest bit about cars, but they do keep making it harder and harder. i suppose it benefits them - government's happy, as they pass fewer people, and they get more money through more re-tests etc.
