Hi has anybody put a cone filter into the airbox yet instead of a panel filter, and wot difference did it make if any....I'm not after more power just more induction noise really... cars a Toyota corolla t sport

I think having the cone inside the air box instead of a panel filter isn't going to have the desired effect of more noise, the air box itself muffles the sound.

The advantage of the air box though will be the reduction of heat soak which really affect our cars.

2nd that mate. The noise is it sucking all the surrounding air in. Box wise will quite it down I'm afraid

Or do you mean taking the top part of the air box and sitting an induction kit in the bottom half leaving the top half off? I wanted to do something similar on my Compressor but will need a pipe to adapt the MAF sensor in. My airbox has a K&N panel filter fitted by previous owner so i just plan on leaving that in there. Wanted an induction kit for the supercharger wine! :biggrin:
