Parrot Kit & Car USB adaptor compatibility

Hi,

I have a T25 , 2005 Avensis with W53905 head unit, and a CK3100 Parrot kit installed. All working well.

Has anyone tried to add a Car USB adaptor like the one linked here :

 http://www.ebay.com/itm/282025380822?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I tried , it plugs into the cd changer socket (6+6)  but it stops the head unit and car kit from turning off when you take the key out.

The company that makes the usb adaptor  say " The CD machine interface cannot be occupied"

Has anyone found a USB adaptor like Yatour that works with my current setup?

My next option would be to replace the CK3100 with a 9200 as it plays music from the phone. I don't want to change the head unit, but I guess that would be another option.

I don't want to sound rude, but you took a risk buying that USB adapter from a far off seller, even if it cheap. That unit must be faulty or not fully compatible.

Have you seen my tutorial ? -

I chose a UK based seller and even a EU seller would be fine. The unit works very well and my version has bluetooth within the same box. No extra wires. You need to adjust the volume for bluetooth playback and telephone calls from the device connected, just like the Parrot.

The unit was design to work with the Mk2 Avensis audio unit, but also work in my Mk3.

Thanks for the reply.

I bought it locally and have obtained a full refund . That eBay ad was just to show the model I purchased. Thanks again for your time in replying.

John, thanks for correcting me regarding the eBay ad. Glad you got a refund. I have to admit taking a slight risk when buying my Bluetooth/USB/micro SD adaptor, because my car and stereo model was not listed. It works well with full integration and the steering controls function properly, including the bluetooth phone calls. That is why I recommend that particular model of USB adaptor. I have used and fitted Connects2 and xcarlink on other car, but they cost more. Yatour is close in price to my LA power the model fitted to my car.

My stereo also plays MP3/WMA format music from CD's.
