Let down by Toyota dealer

Recently bought an approved Avensis from rhe main dealer in Ilkeston. Within 2 days I had identified a whine to the gearbox and seriously worn clutch. I called them immediately and they advised me to take the car to my local dealership in Grimsby who promptly diagnosed suspected gearbox bearing. Because the car had been sold with major and pretty obvious faults they called the dealer in Ilkeston and asked them to take the car in immediately.  When I then spoke to them the manager told me how busy they were and would not be able to do it till next week further stating that "it's only an alledged fault" - I pointed out that the car had just been driven by 2 Toyota mechanics who had even told him what the problem was at which point he became less busy! Very upset at having to do a 4 hour round trip because a main dealer did not check the car properly. All in all this has cost me 40 in petrol and seven hours out of my day off. No apology and the manager had the audacity to tell me off for stating "I am getting ****** off."

I start to wonder why I bothered with a Toyota main dealer
