'07 Prius front wheel bearing - possible change

My friend spoke to me and mention a wheel bearing like noise, which only goes quiet when turning left (I think), and is noticeable over 30 mph. The wheel bearing is the most likely suspect.

I did some research, and Toyota has move to the hub style wheel bearing which is fixed to the carrier via 4 bolts.

This type of bearing which I have seen and changed on my old Mk1 Avensis rear wheel, is easy to change so long nothing has seized. Also no need for a press.

Found a few videos on how to change the wheel bearing. Here are 3 which explains in there own way.

My friend was concerned about the job because Kwik-Fit will not touch Toyota Prius brakes.

From the videos plus others on changing the brakes, I see no issue unless it is something to do with the rear brakes.

My friend also wondered if it is the regen unit, but I don't think so, because it is located within the transmission. Still need to confirm the source of the noise. The tyres were replaced with new, but the noise is still present. I will be seeing my friend to hear the noise in person.
