Corolla Verso 2004-9 - is it still worth buying?

the spec suits us, the rear seats aren't too cramped, and in addition the car is small enough that we can get it in and out of our narrow drive with difficult access (length and width both count).  The Verso won't work.

But it's kind of getting old, so what do you think?

If yes is the petrol as reliable?

Thanks

I have a 2006 Corolla verso with only 63,000 miles on the clock

only had it around a month...

like you say, it ticks loads of boxes with the 7 or 5 seats, good looking for a car of this kind, good drive, loads of torque.

as a whole I like the car, shame the 2.2 d4d I have is noisy and gives poor mpg!

im getting around 30mpg and I have a really noisy, tappy engine, going into the garage this week to get to the bottom of it.

im not sure Toyota diesels are as refined or reliable as say a BMW like I had before, but I'm hoping with good maintenance and making sure it's looked after, it will be a good car for a few years to come Atleast

Hi Steve,

I had a second hand one, it was 7 years old when i bought it and had it for 5 years. I only replaced it last August.

It had a worn clutch at 89,000, when I bought it and it finally failed by 120,000. When the new owner was driving it.

I just needed something that was cheaper to run, my other half hasn't forgiven me for getting rid of it.

Overall I liked the car, just the one i had. Hadn't been kept in the best of shape before I bought it.

I had the 1.8 petrol with 37 to 45mpg
