My alarm keeps going off

Hello

Can anyone help me with my alarm? Every morning when i get to work my alarm goes off about 10 times.

It goes off when the car is locked, unlocked and double locked.

I go down, turn the alarm off, lock the car and by the time I'm back upstairs its going off again!!

I was thinking of disabling it but will that affect my central locking or immobiliser??

Its a year 2000 1.8

If you keep anything metallic in the centre console..keys, loose change etc., that can trigger the alarm.

Also, if you press the lock button three times, it will disable the interior sensors.

oh Thanks... as random as this sounds I did have a spoon in that compartment! It has been removed haha

also I have pressed the lock 3 times this morning (it only seems to happen at work!) and so far, fingers crossed its been fine.
