Hi, Hope you guys can help!

I have a Toyota Avensis 2004 D4D 2.0 and i've located cause of my engine noise being - aircon bearings/clutch.

Audible from idle to around 1800rpm sounding like metallic scraping / jingling noise, and Its driving me nuts!

I see that it has been mentioned many times on other threads.

I would like to bypass the A/C pulley with a shorter belt

However Ive been hunting high and low for a part number for the shorter belt but it dosn't seem to exist anywhere.

Can anyone help me with this please?

Many Thanks

Joe D4D 2.0

So long as your car is 2004 then it must be 1CDFTV, 85PS engine.

Contitech and Gates both list the short belt as 5PK1110 (Conti) and 5PK1113 (Gates).

Here are the following links: -

http://www.gatesautocat.com/drive/TOYOTA/Avensis/CDT250/1CDFTV/03-03_04-06/33161

Unfortunately there are no listings for the later AD diesel engines.

Thankyou  Devon Aygo & Konrad C !  Just ordered it. I knew it existed somewhere.!

Before i change it i will sketch the route of belt before just incase.

But ...is there anything else i should be aware of ? tools needed etc, as i haven't change an auxiliary belt before.Im fairly handy with maintenance work but inexperienced working on cars.

Or would it be wise to take it to a garage.Im guessing it would be a fairly quick and inexpensive job for a mechanic.

Any advise would be much appreciated

Thankyou.
