Exhausts

OK, I'm looking for an exhaust for my TS. So far, I have got a choice between two:

1) Blitz Nur Spec R

2) Fujitsubo

Has anyone got any experience of these exhausts? Is there much between them.

At the mo' I'm leaning towards the Blitz as it is a name that I trust. Been quoted for £377.00 (VAT & carriage included) and gives an estimated 4-5bhp increase. Can anyone tell me some more about the Fujitsubo?

Thanks in advance.

Where do I go for a custom one? How much difference is there in terms of price and power?

Plus, I must say that custom jobs are cheaper (some by £100) but all I ever hear about custom jobs is how poor they are.

I would much rather trust something that came from a production line where the tolerances and quality control are much better than custom stuff. Depends on the custom company a bit I suppose.

Yer,

The Fujitsubo exhaust is of the highest standard. It seriosuly looks like it could withstand a bomb, it is so well put together.

Thanks for the response chaps, certainly given me a lot to think about.

Fujitsubo - loud and fun! Has a gorgeous popping noise between gears.

Do you mean that it sounds like a rally car? :)

Chuck when I contacted my insurers, they said that with an aftermarket exhaust, there was no additional charge to the premium. :D

hmm thats not bad, ill check with mine before i consider buying, paul aka griffyn also has no extra added cost which is good...

i was jst going of the fact that my induction kit added £200 to my insurance :crybaby: i thought they were having a laugh, think i may change insurace companies soon

I was considering putting in a Blitz induction kit at one point, but when I contacted my insurer, they said there was not going to be a cost increase to my premium. They didn't have a clue what it did, so I said that it aids air going into the engine to make it smoother and the power increase was minimal. A pretty honest answer IMO ;) .

In the end though, I purchased a K&N panel filter and it did the job, but minus the lovely sucking noise of the air <_<

yea its all about the noise, so nice, their argument was that even if i had minimal power gain i was gaining an increased noise to the car, this makes the car more apealling to thievs

my company suck, they didnt know what a carbon bonnet was and didnt believe i had paid 600 quid for it in the end the had to add the value of that with the alloys, then the little thiefs charged me a extra £270 just for alloys and a bonnet :ffs: :ffs: :ffs:

You know who the real theives are don't you!

The only term my insurer gave me was that in the event of an accident where the exhaust is damaged, they will only replace the factory TS exhaust, which I suppose is reasonable.

I think perhaps the trick is not to declare too much at once. Which insurance comp's is everybody with?
