Dashboard lights

Hi All,

I am owning a Avensis 2009, 2.0, CVT i have noticed  that dashboard lights gets dimmer. When i start the car its all bright but suddenly get dimmer and brighter again after some time.

If i am driving in the dark it stays dimmer . Is this a Battery issue ?

I have checked the Battery its fine.

Please advice

Does it get dimmer when you put your lights on?

With the sidelights or headlights turned off the dash should be brightly lit.  When you switch on the lights the dash becomes dimmable by turning the knob on the dash pinnacle, and therefore the dash lights could be dim or bright, depending on how it's been set.

Does your car have auto lights? Yesterday my car lights came on when driving through the woods where I live, then off once back into the brighter sunlight. There is a green lights on symbol on the dash, when the lights are on. The instruments dim to the level I set when the lights are on.
