Auris HSD Inverter - Keeping It Pretty

Hi,

We have recently purchased a 3 year old Auris Icon Hybrid. We like it. The technology is very interesting.

When I open the bonnet, I can see that the Inverter module, in all it's aluminium loveliness, is rather vulnerable to salt corrosion.

Has anyone found a good way of preventing this? I notice that Lexus have put a plastic cover over the top of the inverter on their CT200h, but that is probably expensive and sits on 2 supports that the Auris doesn't have.
