Rear ABS sensor removal, help please

Recommended Posts

Posted

Hi, please can someone very specifically tell me how to remove the abs sensor from the rear wheel hub on my 07 Aygo. The manual simply says remove the bolt...There is even a picture in the manual but I feel silly and just can't see what should be so obvious, is it a 'torx' bolt or traditional bolt? and what size...........Please humour me with your help, it will be much appreciated,,,

when i have replaced these on other cars there has been 1 retaining bolt unscrew and remove bolt

then the sensor should slide out,you will probably find it has seized in and you will have to use a hammer

and a punch to drive it out.

Yes eygo is correct there should be a 10mm bolt that you undo on the sensor that secures it to the plate, and yes you will probably have to drill the old one out as they tend to rust in.
