Body Kit And Modification Advice

Accustomed as I am to modding my PC, my car I am not. After a bit of a flick through this forum it seems there's much I can do to improve the looks of my 2002 CTS!

So, as I'm new to all this lingo I need advice. Looking around, I'd like the following changes made:

30mm lowering springs (recommendations welcome)

Front spoiler

Left & right side skirts

Rear spoiler

Rear spoiler under (is this actually required?)

Rear lights mask kit

Headlight spoiler kit

Split twin exhaust pipes

New 17" alloys/tyres (recommendations welcome)

I'm assuming that the above is pretty much a parts list of the body kit shown on booster tuning's web site (please let me know if I'm missing anything or have listed stuff that I wouldn't need) but where can I find prices on all this stuff in the UK? How much would I be expecting to pay for it to be sprayed and fitted?

I've looked at the sticky where to get stuff link at the top of this forum section, but it's all dutch to me.

Also, if anyone knows where I can get it chipped with the replacement exhaust for another 80-100bhp (around £1000 apparently) then I'd also be interested.

A lot to ask I know, but I'm a car mod noob in need of some serious education!

Respect to those who answer ;)

Spoodwzd,

Firstly welcome to the forum, good to hear you are ready to throw some of your hard earned cash at your Corolla T-Sport.

My advice to you in regards to your first modification would be to call your local Toyota dealer and ask them to supply and fit a set of TTE (Toyota Team Europe) 30mm lowering springs. This will dramatically improve the cars handling and looks and should cost you around £275.00.

Body kits are available through lots of different sources TTE once again supplying one of the subtler kits, the more outrageous are supplied buy the like of Booster.

The headlamp kits are purely down to taste, personally I wouldn’t let one of those mask kits within a five mile radius of my car but each to their own. I have fitted a set of non legal blue tint 100w bulbs which look like xenon’s and really increase you night time visibility and look great.

For the exhaust you need to make sure whether your after just style or style + more performance. The TTE rear exhaust box is fine for the looks but you will struggle to gain any BHP for fitting it, I would go for a TRD (Toyota Racing Development) manifold and rear exhaust box if you require a bit more punch from you car it will also sound fantastic.

Go for lightweight 18in alloys they will really set your car off and again these can be sourced through TTE or even the new Kahn RS-V look wonderful. Check out www.tte.de to view the CTS with the full Toyota Team Europe kit on it.

Hope this helps

Nick
