Two 'P' codes

It's the wifes 'truck' and is a 2.0 D-4D which has covered 106,000 miles. About 14 months ago we had the 'lack of power' problem which was cured by replacing the SC valves(I had Denso fitted) but now we have a similar issue and I had to 'nurse' the thing to my local garage - 2/3 miles - in 2nd gear at as many RPM as it could muster with the engine light glowing brightly. The garage, who are independent and excellent by the way, called me to say that the code that showed previously wasn't showing but they had 2 on the display, P1228 and P1250 and they advised me to seek a Diesel specialist to take on the fix and I intend doing this subject to the answers I receive from the members. Many thanks in advance.

P1228 / 78(8) = Fuel pump system malfunction ( short ) and is directly related to the SCV's

P1250 = Turbo charger system malfunction

Thanks for that Devon Aygo but I/we know what the codes mean. Maybe I should rephrase the question...how do I deal with the two codes, which one first?, is one likely to have been caused by the other? This is why the garage suggested taking it to a specialist as they didn't want to run up an astronomical bill by doing something that didn't actually need doing and, having replaced the SCVs last year, are they really likely to be the problem?

Thanks to some acquaintances of 'she who must' I now have a local specialist who will be looking at the RAV sometime next week but here's a thing.....obviously I had to move it from one location to another so enlisted the help of a work colleague to 'chaperone' me the 2 miles but having started the beast without any issues there was no engine light glowing and she drove as if nothing was wrong!!! That tells me that the problem isn't a major one - kiss of death! - and hopefully will not be an expensive fix(?). Any thoughts peeps?
