Floor rails in avensis estate

I have just bought an avensis estate 2013 and it has the factory fitted floor rails in the boot. My concern is dirt will go down them and the dog could get his paw trapped in them. Can anyone advise if there is a strip you can get to cover the holes up to prevent this happening?

I've seen pictures that look to have rubber stripping in the same place but don't know if it is covering the floor rails or is a car without them. Thanks

particularly if you have a dog have you thought about getting a rubber boot liner? as well as the official Toyota item there are a no. of 3rd party suppliers with different designs starting from ~£20.

Hi, yes thanks I am thinking I will have to get a boot liner if I can't get rubber strips to go over it. I will be getting a fitted dog cage but they are made to order & will take a few weeks so it's just a temporary measure really until it arrives.

If it's just a temporary measure have you got a bit of old carpet, an old bath towel etc.?

I bought a boot liner from this place which is pretty good. I had to remove the moveable bars/dividers/etc that fit in the floor rails, but I couldn't envisage ever using them anyway. Not even sure what some of them are for! 

Dunno if it's standard or an option, but mine has a roll-up mesh that comes up behind the back seat and hooks to the pillars. It's not obvious, I only discovered it by accident!

I believe it is standard.
