Bolt size and thread on alternator

One of the bolts on my alternator (not bolt going all the way through alternator) has gone and I am not sure of the size and thread to get a replacement bolt so I was wondering if anyone could provide me with the alternator bolt sizes and thread please

if you can get the bolt out measure the diameter of the bolt

if it measure 6mm in diameter its a M6 bolt ,if it measure 8mm then it an M8 bolt

Toyota do not list specific bolt types/sizes so short of actually removing the bolt and measuring it for you no one is likely to know the answer, surely it would be easier to contact you local Toyota dealer and order the correct bolt?

Would be best if you went to the parts counter of your Toyota dealer and asked them. They'll have an exploded diagram of the alternator and will know what part to order. And it's not that expensive from experience.
