Hi Mat

I can't give you the exact weight but I did weigh my tsport 16 with an inflated tyre on and it was about 13.5kg and I have swapped to a 5kg wheel.

The 5kg wheel with a inflated tyre on was about 8kg and after trying both on the car the difference on my yaris is noticeable.

I saved about 5.5kg a corner.

I know tyres weigh different amounts depending on how they are made but this is just my thoughts and finding's I hope this helps.

Thanks for you answer :-)

Yes tyre weight may vary pretty much from one brand/type to another...

I hope the change worth it ;-)

It will be mines been worth doing, Ive lugged my 3 different types of Toyota alloys from one end of my drive to the other changing them so many times now I know which are the lightest ones lol  plus even my tyre fitter can tell the difference between the 5kg and the tsport ones.

Thanks ANT182 ;-)

I have weighted my stock 16'' TS wheel + tyre (new Michelin) from the spare tyre and it is : approx 16.5kg.

I want to switch to 15'' OZ Ultralegerra wheel : 4.99kg + Hankook tyre (7.95kg) : approx 13kg.

Are they the lightest wheel arround (for reasonnable price) ? I should save 3.5kg per wheel/tyre is it really worth it and frankly noticeable ?

Thanks

OZ are one of the lightest ones around for a reasonable price, it all depends on what you want to pay and what you want to gain from having the light wheels.

The car will feel more light footed when your doing either your b road driving or if you do track days.

If it's not going to break the bank I would do it, well I did on both my corolla (14kg) and my yaris (8kg).

Good Man.

I have 3 sets of Toyota alloys sat in my Garage lol.

Some coilovers would be good if haven't got any yet and I also replaced the under rear brace as well and added a front upper strut too,  it's spot on so much fun to drive quick.

Haven't got coilovers yet ; but i plan to set up new Exedy Clutch + Fidenza flywheel... :-)

That will be a good mod and will rev up a lot quicker.
