Toyota Airconditioning problem

I have a Toyota Avensis and the air conditioning was not working. I took it to my local garage and the diagnosed that the Condenser was faulty and replaced it at quite a cost may I add, then had it re-gassed. However that did not fix it and I had to take it back in, They tell me there is a leak in the system, which suggests to me that the condenser was not faulty in the first place. Now they are trying to charge me for their further work in trying to locate the leak.
I feel this is totally unfair, Am I being unreasonable here?

Ive been to garages that recharge system, check for leaks using ultra violet and show you the leak, no big black art to it.

locate a garage that do ac refills as a daily occurrence and they will prob look for and advise of common leaks on your particular system.

my older (53 reg ) was on original parts condenser was getting a bit ropey also pump, only holding gas for a few weeks and difficult to pinpoint but uv showed the tell tales

I never even bothered fixing and done what others do and ripped it out and fitted shorter belt

for handiness sakes I use a gas leak detector spray in my job that is useful for moderate leaks on any gas, but its basically soapy water in a sprayable can that bubbles with the leak, so you may be able to rig a diy solution yourself if you cant get any joy
