Auris any good?

I am looking for a new car at the moment and am considering an Auris, Civic, Mazda 3, 1 Series, Focus and Astra.

For those that have an Auris can you tell me how you rate it? Any issues to worry about?

How is it for comfort? Are the seats comfy on a long drive?

I am looking to get something around £4000 up to 7 years old below 60k.

My previous car was so unreliable and very costly to repair. It had to be scrapped a few months ago.

I've just been borrowing a Jazz since but really need to get a new car now.

Fwiw, I have liked my 1.33 Auris as much as any car I have owned. Coming up to 7 yrs old and its been 100% reliable. The two new Audi's I owned some time ago were junk (reliability wise) compared to Toyota. Comfort is excellent.

If you are looking at buying an older car I would suggest only considering the petrol models, not diesel.

I've had two Auris 1.33's - 2009 and 2012 models. Both have been excellent reliability wise. Comfortable on long journeys - both have been on journeys to Skye of over 500 miles each way several times without issue.
