Possibly looking to retro fit cruise control

I'm possibly going to fit cruise control I'm my 2006 2.0d4d avensis pre-face lift colour collection model.I see just a few things on here but where is the ecu for this located? I'm on the look out for a steering wheel with the stalk already in it.is it easy to do and if the steering wheel from breakers yard doesn't have the loom from the cruise stalk to the plug on the steering wheel? Can I buy the loom for it?and what else is needed for this mod?

I've the steering wheel fitted with the original cruise control stalk fitted but I cannot get it to work.the cruise light on dash won't light.can anybody help with this.can it even be added to the colour collection model 1cd-ftv 2006 car? Kingo can you verify that?
