Map update 6.8.1

Just joined in the hope that I can get some assistance or shared sympathy as I battle to install the latest Touch 2 and Go software update. Having paid £99 I thought it would be a fairly straightforward process ..... how wrong I was:

  • having purchased it successfully the attempts to actually access the software and download it have, after three day and contact with Toyota GB on Twitter, Customer Services and my local Toyota dealership, proved fruitless;
  • I have been advised that it does work on an Apple computer and that it doesn’t and I should find a Windows computer
  • accessing the purchases screen and expanding the map update purchase on both an Apple and Windows computer as well as at the dealership has provided sporadic access to the download to USB option - moving from the instructions option back to the download option always renders it inaccessible again.
  • the download instructions are unreadable, incomplete and when printed only provide a couple of images and no text ….. images on the screen and in print are unreadable and blurred.
  • there is an implication that when downloaded to the USB that it is actually incomplete as WinZip seems to be expecting more ‘disks’ ….
