Does The Celica Gt4 Have A Dump Valve As Standard

was wondering as i have fitted my dump valve ....

and was told 2 different stories about the standard one,,,,,,

so could some one tell me if it has one as standard,,if so do i need to take it off before fitting a new one,and if it has one where would i find it?

Hi

yes the GT4 does have a dump valve as standard. It is a recirculating one. Aftermarket dump valves dump to air but you can buy adaptors for them to recirculate.

I'm not sure how you've managed to fit a dump valve yet leave the existing one in place...

In which case it doesn't have one as standard. To fit one you will need to T off the pipe between turbo and intercooler (some people e.g. Bailey sell the T-shaped hose for this) or cut and weld a flange onto the intercooler...

Samco do a hose. In red or blue complete with 'T' About 50-60 quid.
