Do it Ant!

My colleague also got an Auris was told by dealer:

1. We only need 1/2 day for the work

2. Just leave max 1/2 tank of petrol

So i guess each dealer different?

I'll have to ring up and see what mine says, also need them to refit the off side wing as it's not flush with the sil. Don't know when that happened.

Hi everyone, yes the tank needs to be 1/3 full only or max 3 lines on the fuel gauge. I did Battery health check so the car stayed with them whole day but even only for the charcoal canister will need to leave the car with the garage. When you call them to book they will remaind you to leave little fuel in the tank.

Regards.

I got my letter the other day.

Sadly my local ats has damaged the car, so that's an added headache :-(

Bummer Ant!

What happened?

Are they going to repair it or going thru insurance?

I always liked ATS's cheap and cheerful prices and staff too!

Any pics?

Waiting to see what they say. Only just arrived.

Have used this ats before, should have paid the extra and used the mobile firm I have used in the past.

I spotted it later, when I approached the car side on. I was checking for damage after running over something on the motorway.

The boss wasn't in but, he will call me on Tuesday to arrange getting it sorted at a body shop.

  • 3 weeks later...

Another letter from Toyota has arrived yesterday. This time they called for a driver's door window switch needs replacement as could become very hot. Been going to the garage more often than to a petrol station 😂

Thanks for heads-up, Tony!

I still had no recall from my local dealership

The car is back to normal. Getting the recalls done on the 16th.

Wish they would make their mind up about the window switch.

I got one letter saying it needed it 6 months ago and then shortly after, another letter saying it didn't need it. Now last week I got a letter saying it does.

If a car is involved in an official DVSA recall, any letters would come from Toyota GB, using owner information provided by DVLA, rather than the dealer. Sometimes the information held by DVLA is not up to date for a variety of reasons and not necessarily down to DVLA.

So if in doubt contact Toyota GB directly, mention that the recall checker is showing your car is affected by this recall, but you haven't had any written notification.
