allarte ppl,jus found out tht a minted starlet in jet black wiv a metal flake paint job which i allready thought was mint, has a celica GT 2.0 engine init ,the guy at toyota near us told me today....while i wa wiv ma mum an dad as they av jus bought a 02plate celica VVTi ... :censor:

Sounds like starletnaths car mate which still has the standard sr engine in had it got a different bumper on the back?

I wa reading on a forum cant remember which, but it wasnt a toyota one, they were slating the starlets, and then this guy came on who had a glanza V and put his crashed celica gt4 turbo engine and the 4wd running gear into his starlet and it wa putting out sumat like 380bhp, :o

And the guy claimed to have beaten a cbr6 off the lights wether thats true or not i dont know but 380bhp in a little car

i've never heard of a celica engine in one before,but i have seen the report/spec's of the guy state side with the mr2 twin turbo engine in his glanza.

but the thing i cant understand about all this is why bother

at the end of the day you might have a badass engine in your ep-whatever,but it's still only a starlet.

i've had my glanza nearly three years now and i swear to god the sooner i can get a bigger better car the better.even if i droped a lump into it once the novelity wore off which would'nt take too long,i'd stiil be looking at other peoples cars like supras,celica gts,evos,skyline's e.t.c.... saying to myself "i want one of those"

even with a mad engine in your starlet it's still only a starlet,whooo hooo

the only reason id do it is to shock company reps driving in their beemas etc who think they have a fast car, the shock they'd get if u were pushing 300 bhp on a lil starlet..

im glad sum1 else sees my idea of wastin ne thing on the road,got a quote frm fensport 2k wiv everything but exhaust system,gearbbox,fuel pumps intercooler,oil cooelr the job lot .....if only mony was no objext imagine it 300bhp + in a 4wheel drive starlet.....ud b king:d lol

The bill for doing something like that would be more like 10K to bring your starlet in and drive it away how you want it, for that money i recon i could buy a 1996 Glanza and have it tuned to 300hp still using the 1300cc motor.

10k? i got aquoted 2k frm fensport for everything but exhausts fuel pumps the lot? an how much wud it b for a 1.3 turbo conversion i dint no u cud tune one of those to tht kinda level,but surely the cost to tune a small enigne to tht level it wud b close 2k?

I so want to turbo my starlet or a glanza, coz im sick of people thining that they are slow, even standard they will have a go at anything off the lights (within reason) just need money!! :(
