2 parted oil filter query

Just wondering a couple of things regarding my stuck oil filter casing after having changed the oil:

1. Is the car ok to run for a few days with the new oil and old oil filter until I can get the oil filter removed?

2. Can you suggest a good oil filter removal tool for a 06 Avensis 2.0 T25? I was hoping brute force would take it off but that wasn't happening.

I don't think it'd be a massive problem and good removal tool wise I find a long screwdriver stabbed through it works well!!!
