Hello,

I have a problem with cold start. Warm start and engine power during running is no problem. Also seems to me if preheating starts I have a problem with engine cranking but without preheating it works.

Battery is OK. Glow plugs are new. No fault on dashboard. During starting phase it seems that one or two cylinders are not running properly. If I let system go through preheating phase more times (4x-5x), it starts correctly.

So I have read many forums and advices, it seems it could be coolant water temp sensor but I cant find it :(

Maybe EGR valve could be, SCV too. I want to start with the sensor, can you show me where it is? And do you know what is ohmic characteristic?

Thank you, Martin

Did you ever resolve the problem? I have similar symptoms.

Lots of turn-over if under 10 degrees C, but will eventually start after 10-15 seconds.

No problem starting when warm/hot.

Changed glowplugs and SCV

I assume coolant water temp sensor is working as 'blue' indicator on when engine cold and goes off when warm.
