Well wife's c1/aygo/107 is due to be returned shortly and I have clearance for something fun...wife to use my avensis and I use this...what do you guys reckon??

Go for it. I owned a mk1 years ago and that was a great car. The second gen sort of lost the core of what the MR2 is all about. Good to see that they went back to the original concept with the third gen model.
