I think i replace the bolts, o-rings and reflow washers.

There is aluminium washers.

Does these injectors have copper washers at the bottom?

Originally many were fitted with copper between the injector and head, but there was a problem with leakage and combustion fumes contaminating the oil so the design was modified using aluminum. If you refit the copper ones it's very likely they will leak.

Is it right injector clamp only 25nm ?

This is how it looks. The dealer knows them as injector seats, and it's what the injector sits on rather than the head directly. The one in the picture was for my 1ad but the 2ad ftv is very similar I understand.

Hi! i would like to join since i have exactly the same problem. Car cranks to infinity, but no start. When i plug engine heater on and Coolant temp rises above 0 degrees celsius it starts. Allways.

 

After that it gives P0093 few times before engine hits 60c. After that everything works fine. Need to say that this weird 0 celsius degree limit has been there about 2 years. This P0093 is a new quest, and i think these two are not really related. I have replaced SCV, although its not the modified one i guess (code 0300 08s05). Replaced all glow plugs, grounding cables, Battery, cleaned EGR, replaced Fuel filter many times, replaced both camshaft and crankshaft sensors and cleaned MAF. All data in techstream seems fine to me. I

 

I removed plug from injector 4 and that time there was no P0093 at all, so that might indicate problem in injector 4. Although i need to re-do this test with other injectors as well before im sure about this. And this did not cure that Zero degrees limiter i have :/

 

My software version is 30F09600 (i guess, its the calibrtion ID). It would be nice to know what software i can flash since i have not replaced the new SCV, but would like to have all other fixes.

They said that all 4 are bad.

Although I think we were right to check all possibilities, HarrmannX was right, looks like a new set of injectors is needed. These are proper tests conducted by a specialist and they show significant leakage under high volume conditions. You could have yours reconditioned if you trust the specialist.

Does not look good. Are you going to replace injectors? im in same situation as you, yet i have not done leakage test. Will do that next.

New set 455eur each.

Sad to say, but all 4 injectors are bad.

The test shows that they cant handle the pressure (leaking) like the error code says.

In my opinion, get some OPTIFIT replacement injectors from Toyota, there have been some improvement on the injector tip to prevent corrosion (like the new alu style gasket) also on the Piezo element.

Its technically possible but it is far from a simple swap you would ideally need a T25 2.2 2AD-Ftv side by side with your car and swap out the bits part by part but things such as the head, injectors, fuel pipes, exhaust, Engine ECU, Injector ECU, wiring harnesses and so on would all need changing

Why go from 130kw to 110?? It will be a big job. You will also get in trouble whit the wire harness and need to change tje ECU and maybe EDU. And the Turbo is not the same also.

Hi Kartul,

I can see that the cost might be an issue. Certainly the Optifit injectors with the improved tip will give the longest lifespan, but realistically, how many more miles will you drive the car? There isn't much logic in replacing the whole cylinder head to save on injectors, it's a very big job. The cheapest solution would be to fit good used ones, but you'll have to get them calibrated by your specialist before you drive the car with them fitted. Next would be to get yours reconditioned. I'd avoid fitting different parts from another model engine, you're asking for problems imo.

I will not use the bad injector, because you can end up whit the same problem when you think you have fixed the problem. My sparetime is to expensive to do thinds twice.

Fix it once, fix it right. 😊

Finnaly get brand new injectors. If i need to clean fuel rail and the incjectors code is on the top?

Just initialize the fuel pump when SCV before first start after change, all is good.
