Energy Monitor not showing on the Main Screen?

Hi Guys,

I just bough a 3rd Gen Prius T Spirit from 2011. I was trying to find out how to show the Energy Monitor on the main screen, but I am unable to do so.
According to all the manuals, including the one that came with the car, when I press the INFO button there should be a Trip Info option which will show the Energy Monitor.

When I press the INFO button though the only options I see are Telephone(or something along those lines) and Calendar.

Any ideas what the issue might be? I guess I am doing something wrong, but cannot figure out what so any and all help will be much appreciated.

Regards,

Kalin

Hi Kalin.  Welcome to the clan!

I had the 2012 facelift version which had different software, but could it be as simple as pressing INFO more than once?

Regards, Pete

Hi Pete,

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be the case. I tried pressing multiple times and also long-pressing the INFO button, but it still only shows Telephone and Calendar options.
No Trip Info option, which is the one with the Energy Monitor.

Even the car's own user manual is showing this option, but it is not there in reality...

Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

Hopefully someone else has had this problem. If not, I guess I will have to ask in Toyota, the next time I am there.

The 2011 T-Spirit will be the pre-facelift model with the hard disk based head unit (not touch and go).  I don't think the energy monitor was available on that.  It only shows on the multi function display (MFD).  On the plus side, the satnav directions show on the HUD.

Thanks johalareewi,

That is a bit strange since the actual printed user manual, which came with the car is showing it as being there.
Also even the Gen2 Prius has it, so I am a bit puzzled why would Toyota have it on the Gen 2, remove it on the pre-facelift Gen3 and then add it again....

I am going to Toyota on Saturday, hopefully I can find someone who know for sure.

I would be quite annoyed if it really is not possible to get it on the main screen either as is or via a software update.

Cheers
