Rav 4.3 Gross weight/mass (UK)

I'm looking at a Rav 4 T180 or XT-R (so both diesel engines), approx. 2007-2008, but can't find the Gross Mass of the Rav4.3. I passed my test post 1997 so without the B+E licence am limited to 3500kg, and will be towing a caravan

 

Anyone know from their car/manual what the Gross Mass is of the above models

All your weights should be on the passenger door pillar.

i don't have one yet - looking at them at the minute for when my lease car goes back at the start of the year. Main thing is whether I'd be legal with having the max weight of 3500kg and my mtplm is 1450kg so I'm limited with tow car

bear in mind the potential head/head gasket issues with an AD series engine of that age.

Depending on model number diesel variants range from 2100 - 2190 kg

My son had this problem and took his BE test. 

The problem is it's not just exceeding 3500kg it's the potential to exceed. The tow car weight is based on the Gross Vehicle Weight not the kerb weight. 

So RAV4 2200 kg + caravan 1450kg.
