I use Mobil 3000 5w30 fully synth but was having a browse on Opie Oils and that site seems to be recommending 5w40.

Was just curious as to what people generally prefer with their T sports?

The best grade of oil is that which the manufacturer recommends - see

Brand of oil is a personal choice.

You know what Yusuf....all the service parts I've bought recently and I honestly can't remember what I've bought. My dad had the car 6 years before me and always used Castrol and had no problems so I'm sure that's what is in the shed.

Got me thinking now 🤔

That's very odd as I bought Mobil 1 5W-30 as that's what Opie Oils was recommending for my compressor, but I think the boosted engine would be better on 5W-40 but both seem to work. Apparently 5W-40 is what Lotus recommend for their 2ZZ-GE fitted cars especially if taking on a track.
