I've got a Autel Maxiscan MS509. Reads engine and auto gearbox codes and live data with graphs. Wish It could ABS and airbag but oh well. Bought it for £40 4 years ago. For one to do everything your better off getting one that runs off a laptop with USB to OBD2 connector as those will be able to do most stuff, only problem is finding a good one and for decent price.

You need to say what you are wanting to monitor and what price range you want to pay.

The meters go from £15 up to hundreds depending on their ability.

The one Aamir  shows looks good, though I bought the 2012 model of one of these cheaper ones.

Was going out to check the cars Battery, so took my D900 to give it a try as its a long time since I first used it.

Gives the fault code options and up to 19 Live Data readings, though not all available or what I could understand, still for around £18 delivered its not bad for simple work.

Would've mentioned price at start if I wanted, but just seeing what's out there just a basic scanner for sensors and overhaul any faults that appear nothing major will look into both, thanks

Plenty of reviews on both those scanners and more on Ytube.

Some scanners like mine also have batteries to view data when not connected to the car, if only using it very occasionally like me, do remember to remove the batteries when storing away, or end up with a mess like I found mine earlier !!
