Multimeter recommendations

Hi all,

I'm thinking of getting a multimeter for diagnosing electrical problems - such as the heated rear window om my 1998 Avensis not working. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to buy or avoid? How much should I spend? Is something like this from Maplin suitable:

or this from Halfords:

Both those meters look fine. Any reasonable meter should be ok for car fault finding as long as the probes and leads are long enough and good quality.

Maplin usually has cut-price deals on some meters, but probably not in the run up to Xmas.

For a bit more money there is this:-

https://www.amazon.co.uk/UT210E-Current-Meters-Capacitance-Tester/dp/B00O1Q2HOQ

Which has the luxury of a clamp-on DC current measuring feature, which can be useful on more difficult problems. This feature used to be found only on *very* much more expensive devices. Good for checking what's draining your Battery, without having to disturb any wiring at all, for instance.

It also has a display back light and data hold, all very useful.

I have not used the one above yet, but I will have in a couple of weeks.

This linked one is coming from China, so slower delivery, it is available from a UK Amazon marketplace supplier for more (£34), but their price has just gone up in the last week (by £4). Which is a shame.
