Avensis T25 interior bulb types

I'm looking to fit new/led bulbs in the dome lights and boot as they are pretty dull.I need to know what type and size of bulbs in the car..I don't want to take any bulbs out yet as a streak of bad luck I have I will possibly blow all them along with the fuses..of which has happened to the reverse light I went to change.

the dome lights in my 07 were festoons - 36mm iirc. really easy to change. Possibly not the same fittings as yours though - mine also had map lights?

Iirc Konrad still has a T25 so hopefully he can confirm.

Sorry Scott and Frank, I had T22 and that had a different setup, with only one 5w festoon bulb in the dome light . The dome light was the older "universal" fit design that was used across a lot of the models in the Toyota range until the early/mid 2000s. I sold the car earlier this year. I have lots of spare bulbs including the festoons, and Scott is right regarding the bulb.  

There are two options I would go for - replace the 5w bulbs with 10w versions, or go for LED's. Both have there risks. The higher wattage bulbs may give off too much heat, if left on for long periods, and the LED's need to work with the delay system, which may have fade function!

Yes mine has a "twin" light for the rear passengers the front has map lights too.

I will pop them out and get some that will suit them.their in there from 2006 so maybe new same types might give out better light.

I should have add that the bulbs may be dull due to age, so just replacing them with new of same spec, might sort the problem.
