Interior lights

Recently my interior dome lights in my 59 Yaris have stopped coming on when the doors open or my keys are taken out the ignition. The lights definitely work as I can turn them on by pressing the light fixture. There is no switch to move it from on/ door/ off. 

Any ideas?

Is there another interior light in the middle of the roof with a switch on it?

The front pair of lights are only map lights which come on/off when you press them, the Yaris has a light in the centre of the roof which operates as the interior light this has a 3 position switch on/off/door it sounds like the switch has been set to off rather than door
