Whining Sounds?

i have recently bought a lucida 2.2td auto x

i am totaly happy with this purchase

just a few annoying things i want to sort out

there is a whining noise i dont know if its from the gearbox?

our is it something the lucdia,s do?

can i put anything into the gearbox to stop it / our at least make it less noisy?

also the ride is a bit harsh

this could be down to it having 17" alloys (not sure if its lowered too?)

can anybody shed any light on these minor problems please :D

Is the 'whining' constant or sporadic?

The turbo may make some noise, which would be normal on boost if not too loud....

Have you checked the rear diff oil?

I wouldn't assume its the gearbox...have you checked the atm fluid level/condition?
