I'm taking delivery of a new Corolla TS in a couple of weeks and judging by the

number of articles i've read on its performance/handling etc i can't wait!!!

Compared to my previous Rover 45TD its going to make for quite a ride.

Any comments/advice would to most welcome.

First of all i would like to welcome you to the club. s.i.g you are really going to love your motor when it comes. I have a yaris T Sport and i love my motor.

When my car went in to have the rear Speakers fitted. I was lucky enough to have a corolla T Sport for the day. When you hit that 6,500 rpm hang on to your butt as the corolla is about to go into hyper mode. :D  :P

From there onward it's jesus i cant believe what just happen there :o . So you try it again and surly enough the dam car just takes off. Leaving you with that feeling like you just had your first shag :D

Enjoy it when it arrives!!

Cheers Jerry!I had my first taste of the TS a couple of weeks

ago on a road test, and apart from the obvious boomy engine noise(4000rpm

in 6th)it went like stink!!!!

I'll let you know what i think after a good work out.

How does your yaris compare to the corolla?

Hi S.I.G

Thats a tough one. The corolla is by far the faster car. But with the yaris T Sport you get the power flooding in at around 3,500 rpm instead of the 6,500 rpm. But sadly to say the rev limiter comes in and stops you at 6,000 rpm.

Handling wise i think that the yaris just pips it to the post as you kind of got the go cart effect with the yaris being smaller in size. But a warning. The little yaris can become unstable at high speeds if you go over ruff ground causing it to buck around a little.

But overall a very responsive ride all together. Once lowered i think that it should sort out the unstableness making it a better ride.

With the Yaris TS it some times feel's on fast corners that you aren't going to make it round, but the car doesn't even slip? I'll have to try it faster next time.

Good in the dry but can be deadly in the wet!

I will agree with that oli.

Only problem with that theory is that if you keep trying faster and it doesn't slip eventually you'll get to the point where you try faster and it does slip in a big way and you end up needed a nice insurance claim, good luck with it though :D :D :D
