Hi all, I'm new in this forum, my name is Alan i recently bought a toyota hilux 2009 3.0 4x2 engine 1KD-FTV with engine failure. Now i'm fixing it by my self and got stuck in this point. The engine got oil starvation beacuse of oil pickup block. A very known issue in this engines. Now, piston number 1 seised but i believe the cylinder is in good conditions. As the service manual says, i've checked it using a cylinder gauge and here are the mesurements results of cylinder number 1:

While in the Service manual states this:

Can i assume that maximum ovalization is: 96,23mm - 96mm = 0,23mm??

If i stick to the service manual, if the bores are not greater than maximum (96,23mm), then i'm ok???

Is that correct? i've been reading about ovalization and taper and there's many different poins of view.

someones say that 0,02mm is maximum and others say 0,25mm is ok... that is ten times bigger!!!

My biggest ovality is 0,07 mm , then would it work properly if i put new piston and rings there??

Suggestions??
