For the current plugin prius, a 16amp cable is fine.  It only takes 10amps max.

The new plugin (when it gets here) can use faster charging so a 32amp cable would be required in this case.

I got a cable for my pluigin from Amazon for just over £100.  ;)

Just search for EV Charging Cable Type 1 to Type 2 16 Amp

The one I got is currently out of stock.

I notice the one you have shown is 10m length. Mine is 5m length so it will be cheaper.

I use a 16amp for my PiP currently. A 32amp will also work, and be more future proofed, so worth potentially getting the 32amp for any PHEV you purchase at a later date.

You are going to have to do a lot of EV miles away from home using a charge point that needs a cable to justify the cost of that cable.

Right place right time and you can get a lead for around £65, saves £1-£1.20 per charge based on current petrol price, so only 60ish uses, and if used regularly that won't take long.

Full charge is equivalent to 1 litre of petrol for my plugin so a value of £1 to £1.20 per charge is about right.  If you can use it regularly the cable will pay for itself quickly.

If you plan on keeping the plugin for a few years, save money, get a cheap 16 amp cable.

It would take me a very long time as there are almost no local charge points and those that do exist are not where I want to go so I have only charged my car at home and even that was impossible for a while when the chargemaster unit failed. Santii would appear to have many more options living in London judging by the charging points shown on zapmap.
