Toyota Avensis diesel 2005 D4D T3 click noise when acceleration 

hi

i just noticed my t3 d4d 2005 diesel starting to make a click noise when press Acceleration engine feels like lifting it self up/ the sound does not come when i continue the acceleration and change the gear firmly

its only a click noise when i change the gear and feels like the engine is being approached

some one here on this forum says it could be intake pump loosing air at some point causing this one click

no loss of power / no rattling noise 

* i had my air filter replaced probably 5-6 months ago and drive only 400-500 miles a month

any idea what this is ..?

As a first step I would check driveshafts and engine mounts. Hub splines have been known to cause a clicking on gear change also.
