My question on this forum: We recently purchased a 1.3 Yaris and find that the fuel consumption is way below spec. Infact ±20mpg below spec. Has anyone else experienced this?

Daily usage is ±20m round trip and found this vehicle is very heavy on fuel :(

If you're expecting to achieve the same as the official EU fuel consumption figures, you won't. The EU fuel consumption figures are achieved through a laboratory based testing regime, are not intended to provide any indication of real world fuel consumption, and are intended to be used as a standard test for comparing fuel consumption between models.

Where are you taking your fuel consumption figures from - the in car display or calculating the consumption using a brim to brim method?
