Would someone please advise why the latest topic I raised (Nearly new v New) has been closed?

I presume you are the sole arbiter in deciding what topics are closed? The topic had been only going for 2 days so other members of the forum have not had opportunity to add any posts as they see fit . Whilst you may not have agreed with my opinions, there was nothing defamatory, rude or offensive about them so I fail to see why you have decided to close the topic. Unless, of course, you did not like people disagreeing with your views.

No I'm not the only moderator. Other members had added their views. Nothing to do with whether members had disagreed with other member's views. The topic had gone as far as it could.
