Hellooo

just trying to see if one can obtain a hard shelf for the back instead of the curtain to cover the boot area?

atleast it would be more useful for mums walking sticks etc

also, how do I find out what was supposed to be in the cutouts compartments in the boot?

Toyota don't make a parcel shelf for the Prius, and I don't know of anyone else who makes such a thing for it.

Regarding your other question, do you mean the small trays in the boot floor? There should be the puncture repair kit on the left side, but the tray on the right is empty. The strap on the right side I believe is for first aid kits that are mandatory in other countries.

One problem with putting things on the load cover is that in the event of a hard stop or collision, whatever was on the load cover could become airborne and hit whoever is in the cabin, probably at head height.

Safer to keep in the footwell.

It is common nowadays for manufacturers to have one strap (usually with a Velcro fastening) for a first aid kit. We use ours just for this purpose.

Boot compartments:

Left hand side = Can of gunk (tyre repair kit).  The locking wheel nut box will also fit in this section ;)

Right hand side = Just a selection of random trays (12v Battery underneath).

Across the back = Space to put your charging cable (and other stuff). Can take a space saver spare (standing upright) but it will stick out. ;)

The jack and tool kit (usually found in the boot) is under the passenger seat on the plugin.
